29 Sep Liberty High School football start Kenyon Oblad sets career passing record

Liberty High School football player Kenyon Oblad made history on Sept. 29 when he broke the Nevada record for career passing. As the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported, Oblad also went on to throw four touchdown passes, leading Liberty to a 49-14 win over Green Valley High School. Oblad now has 10,117 career yards, passing the previous record of 10,113. Coach Rich Muraco told the R-J, “In order to be in that category with that many yards, you’ve got to start for four years or be healthy. It says a lot about Kenyon, what a talented young man he is to be sitting alone now atop the Nevada state record book.”
