05 Dec Vegas PBS unveils new children’s area at its free-loan library

Vegas PBS unveiled a new children’s area in its Described and Captioned Media Center (DCMC) library with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Nov. 30. With the support of a grant from Wells Fargo, Vegas PBS expanded the DCMC with a new children’s area where early intervention providers can conduct parent/child interactive playgroup sessions, specialists can conduct evaluations and children can play safely while parents and caregivers visit the free-loan library. The DCMC library distributes content for those who are blind/visually impaired, deaf/hearing impaired, and for those with autism or developmental delays. Materials are mailed direct to library members free-of-charge, including return shipping. For more information, call (702) 799-1010.
